Virtual Training: Your Questions, Answered
1. Do I need a full home gym to get started?
Absolutely not! You’d be surprised what we can accomplish with a set of dumbbells, some resistance bands, and a sturdy chair. I design your program around the equipment you actually have. If you’re totally gear-free, we’ll start with functional bodyweight movements, and I can help you build a “mini-gym” for under $50 whenever you’re ready to upgrade equipment!
2. Is my living room/bedroom/garage big enough?
If you have enough space to lay down a yoga mat, you have enough space to train with me. We aren’t running sprints; we are focusing on functional, intentional movement. As long as I can see your full body on the camera, we are good to go!
3. What if my kids (or pets) interrupt our session?
Mama, I get it. I’m a new mom too! If a toddler needs a snack or a baby wakes up early from a nap, we pivot. Virtual training is designed to be flexible. We can take a 2-minute “mom break” or incorporate the “tiny human resistance” into our workout. No stress, no judgment.
4. How is this different from following a YouTube video?
A YouTube video can’t see if your knees are caving or if your back is arching. With virtual sessions, you get real-time form correction and a program that evolves as you get stronger. We use progressive overload to ensure you aren’t just sweating, but actually seeing measurable results in your strength and mobility.
5. I’m not “tech-savvy.” Is the setup hard?
If you can click a link in your email, you can do this! We use Zoom or Google Meet. You just prop your phone, tablet, or laptop up where I can see you, click the link I send, and we’re ready to move.
